Dirty water and water-related illnesses kill 6,000 children every day. But these
deadly sicknesses can all be easily prevented—with safe drinking water. Clean
water is absolutely foundational to life, but millions still suffer without it. As
a result, consequences like malnutrition, sickness, high infant mortality rates,
poverty, and illiteracy persist.
Our partners in India have recently set up “water huts” where they pass out clean drinking water in busy city areas. Passersby are grateful for a cool drink during their commute in the blistering heat. And as they pause to drink, our partners have the opportunity to share about the living water of Christ, providing refreshment to thirsty souls.
