Bare feet can be a death sentence for children in developing countries. Hookworm and a variety of parasites can easily enter through the foot, or a non-threatening injury could get infected. Will you provide them with shoes that will fit, last, and ultimately, keep them from harm?
The Good Samaritan Children’s Home in Uganda provides schooling for 1,700 children, many of them impacted by AIDS. Recently, Gifts of Hope provided these children with brand new shoes. For many of them, these are the first pair of new shoes they have ever owned.
